note the giant tree down across the street.Well, our 3rd major Hurricaine this season didn't miss. As I'm sure you know, Houston took a direct hit and it was BAD. 100mph winds even as far inland as we live. We were very blessed. Nobody was hurt and our house took no major damage. Several of our trees lost large limbs and a tree fell on our shed in the backyard, but nothing serious. About 20% of the houses in our area took major damage, mostly from falling trees. Thankfully, Abi and Max weathered the storm and then spent most of the last week at Elizabeth's house in College Station. I spent the storm in the hospital and came back to the house on Sunday. Cleaned up Sunday, then Abi and Max came back with Elizabeth, Jon and Murphy for a clean-up extravaganza on Monday. Jon brought a chainsaw to cut up the bigger stuff and the rest was just dragging folliage to the curb. We are now back in Dallas for Max's big 0-1. Will post those pics in a few days.
